I attended St. Bonaventure University in New York
where I earned my undergraduate degree in Sociology. I immediately
started work on my Master’s Degree in Social Work (counseling
degree) and graduated in 1995 from Michigan State University.
I am a counselor who
provides psychotherapy to a diverse set of populations: children,
couples, families and individuals. Issues addressed in treatment include:
depression, anxiety and conflict in relationships. For example, some patients
are grieving over the loss of a loved one or are having difficulty
managing stress and benefit from speaking with a psychotherapist
regarding these issues. I also work along with parents and their
children to address behavioral problems.
I have been self-employed since 2000 and that includes, but
is not limited to, a private practice in Tampa. I also worked part-time at
the University of Tampa -- Counseling Center. In addition, I provide
psychotherapy at several nursing homes in the area. Several years ago, I
provided victims of the hurricanes critical incident stress
debriefing services all over the state of Florida. I am certified
in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing in which I provide services
onsite in emergency situations. Additionally, I am trained and
certified as a family mediator.
I am always looking to assist clients who are
interested in counseling for personal growth or looking for
assistance resolving personal issues in their lives. I accept
insurance reimbursement (insurance companies generally cover mental
health) as well as private pay clients.
